Bring and Buy Sales

Sunday 14th May 11.30am-12.30pm

Saturday 20th May 10:00am-12:00 noon

Please could any donations of unwanted presents, quirky or crafty items or any books/DVDs for the bring and buy sale be placed in the plastic crates provided, either in the church porch or in the parlour, over the next few weeks. Some idea of the value of each item would be helpful if you can estimate how much we should charge and attach a label. I would also welcome any offers of help with running the Bring and Buy sale on those two days. The focus for Christian Aid this year is on helping refugees. Thanks Rosie Rayner

FUN AND GAMES EVENING

Dementia Logo

Saturday 20th May 18.30 - 21.00pm.
Tickets £5 Adults/£12 Familyto include jacket potato supper. All proceeds in aid of the Streetly Dementia Support Group Forget-me-not.

FORGET-ME-NOT is a totally voluntary group which has been going for five years, they do their own fundraising to cover domestic costs. The group has expanded recently and moved to St. Ann's Catholic Church where they meet monthly. They are currently looking for a toaster, a musical bingo game and a CD player as their donated one is beyond repair. They mentioned that the group benefit from musical activities so it seems appropriate that we support them by using the proceeds from our Fun and Games evening to enable them to purchase one of the items on their wish list.

I am 5 Birthday Party

On the 28th February, there will be a charity 5 year old's party after the 10.30am church service. This is to celebrate the 'Toilet Twinning' charity reaching five years old. It was set up to help people get better sanitation and hopefully reach the age of five. The party will consist of a faith lunch (please bring savoury dishes to share) followed by jelly and ice cream and birthday cake. After that there will be lots of fun party games! Tickets cost £5 and are available from Diana Newson or Eleni and Alexander Miklasz.

£294 was raised. Thiank you to those who came and supported, helped on the day and most importantly our compares for the day Alexander and Elani.
